LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Music legends are expected to be represented at an auction featuring Elvis Presley’s karate outfit and George Harrison’s guitar.

As Stephanie Simmons reports, the guitar is expected to sell for $600,000.

The auction will also include iconic pieces from other musicians, both present and past, including Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton and Lady Gaga.

Fans can bid May 15-16 on the one-of-a-kind pieces at the annual event held online and or the Hard Rock Café in New York City.

Jackson glove, Harrison guitar up for grabs at Music auction
Перчатка Джексона и гитара Харрисона будут выставлены на музыкальном аукционе

Michael Jackson’s glove and George Harrison’s guitar star in an auction next week which could fetch up to US$4 million.

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif: Michael Jackson’s glove and George Harrison’s guitar star in an auction next week which could fetch up to US$4 million.

Julien’s Auctions will host its Music Icons sale on May 15-16 in New York. Among the music royalty items on sale are an American flag tank top worn by Madonna and a black crown worn by Beyonce in her “Haunted” music video.

“It’s really an eclectic auction of a lot of items from Britney Spears, Michael Jackson, Madonna, so many items to choose from pop culture history,” Darren Julien, president and CEO of Julien’s Auctions, said at a preview in Beverly Hills.

“We anticipate the entire auction could bring in somewhere between 2 and 4 million dollars.”

A Mastersound electric guitar played by Beatle Harrison is one of the highlights of the sale and is estimated to fetch up to US$600,000.

“It’s a guitar that he played in 1963 at various performances throughout the UK,” Julien said. “(He) also played it at the Cavern Club in Liverpool, which is really one of their historic performances.”

Fans of the “king of pop” will be able to purchase Jackson’s hat and sunglasses as well as one of his gloves.

Furniture from Michael Jackson's Final Home Goes Up For Sale, Including Makeup Stained Bedroom Chair
На продажу выставлена мебель из последнего дома Майкла Джексона, в числе которой - испачканное средствами для макияжа кресло

The makeup-stained bedroom chair and a parquetry side table from the rented mansion where pop star Michael Jackson tragically died, are up for sale on EBAY. The chair is part of a private memorabilia collection owned by Brian Mayes of Nashville Publicity Group.

Nashville, TN (PRWEB) June 01, 2015

The makeup-stained bedroom chair and a parquetry side table from the rented mansion where pop star Michael Jackson tragically died on June 25, 2009, are up for sale on EBAY. Brian Mayes, a Jackson fan and Nashville-based entertainment publicist, is selling the items originally acquired through Julien's Auctions.

The chair was made infamous by crime scene photos shown in the trial of Michael Jackson's doctor, Conrad Murray. The chair was also featured in the premiere episode of CMT's 2014 reality series, RAIDERS OF ROCK.

The Henredon style bergere chair with button-tufted upholstery was located next to Jackson's bed in the master bedroom of the rented Holmby Hills mansion where he died. Particularly notable are the makeup stains on the chair, where Jackson is said to have sat each day while getting ready. The Rococo style side table was also a fixture in Jackson's final home.

"These items are truly a piece of rock and roll history and a must for any Michael Jackson fan," says Mayes, whose memorabilia collection also includes items that once belonged to Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and others. "Tragically, the makeup-stained chair is the lone witness to Jackson's death. If only we could get the chair to tell the secrets of what really happened in those final hours."

The chair and side table are available via EBAY for a limited time:

Michael Jackson's white glove to be auctioned for $20,000

Sale of Jackson memorabilia will also include a prototype of the black leather jacket the singer wore on the cover of his album Bad

A rare white sequined glove once owned by Michael Jackson could be yours to own. Auction house Nate D Sanders is selling the piece of memorabilia on 30 July, with bidding for the item beginning at $20,000.

While this is not exactly a steal, it is considerably cheaper than Jackson gloves which have been auctioned before. The one he wore while debuting the Moonwalk went for $350,000 in 2009, six months after Jackson’s death at age 50. Another auction in June 2010 saw a different glove sold for $160,000.

The right-handed glove was given by Jackson to his artist friend, Paul Bedard, whom the musician commissioned to create over a dozen paintings for Jackson’s home and Neverland ranch. Bedard sold the glove to a private collection in 2005. The artist’s paintings for Jackson featured historical figures – Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Albert Einstein and ET – sporting the glove.

During his reign as King of Pop, Jackson was as well known for his single white glove as he was for his signature Moonwalk dance move. When, in a 1997 interview, Barbara Walters asked Jackson to explain the fashion statement, he said : “Why one glove? Cooler than two.”

The winning bidder will also take home a photo of Bedard wearing the glove, images of the art he created for Jackson, and a typed declaration signed by Bedard that attests to the glove’s authenticity.

In addition to the glove, one of Jackson’s jackets is also up for grabs. The custom-made black jacket was produced as a prototype for the Bad music video and album cover. Bidding for the item begins at $10,000.

Michael Jackson's Costume Worn at 1986 American Music Awards Set for Auction

Костюм, в котором Майкл Джексон присутствовал на церемонии награждения American Music Awards - 1986, выставлен на аукцион

An elegant black and gold military-inspired four-piece suit worn by Michael Jackson at the 1986 American Music Awards will be auctioned by Nate D. Sanders Auctions on October 29. Interested bidders may participate in the auction online.

Jackson was famous for his iconic sense of style, in which military suits played a huge role. The suit being auctioned was custom-made by Western Costume for the 1986 American Music Awards. Jackson wore the costume onstage where he joined an all-star cast in performing "We Are the World," the song Jackson co-wrote with Lionel Richie in 1985 to raise awareness for famine in Africa. "We Are the World" won three Grammys and sold more than 20 million copies. The song is one of less than 30 singles to sell 10 million or more copies.

The black suit has gold colored hardware and trim. The size-28 pants have a gold cord belt and gold stripes running down the side of the pant legs. The shirt, designed by Italian master Fabio Inghirami, has Jackson's makeup stains on the collar. The label inside the suit jacket featuresJackson's name.

Bidding for the stage costume begins at $50,000.

GOTTFRIED HELNWEIN PHOTO OF MICHAEL JACKSON ON AUCTION.

A photo of Michael Jackson taken by artist and photographer Gottfried Helnwein is currently on auction for €4,000.00 and the auction will take place on June 9.
The picture was taken in 1988.

Изображение

Gottfried Helnwein (born 8 October 1948) is an Austrian-Irish visual artist. He has worked as a painter, draftsman, photographer, muralist, sculptor, installation and performance artist, using a wide variety of techniques and media.
His work is concerned primarily with psychological and sociological anxiety, historical issues and political topics. His subject matter is the human condition. The metaphor for his art is dominated by the image of the child, particularly the wounded child, scarred physically and emotionally from within. His works often reference taboo and controversial issues from recent history, especially the Nazi rule and the horror of the Holocaust. As a result, his work is often considered provocative and controversial.
